| summer's ending |

After spending the entire time doing nothing other than being lazy and sleeping in, the last thing I want to do is go back to school and wake up early in the morning and listen to teachers drone on about things they think is important. Well, they are, but only in the you need to know this to make a 1600 on your SAT to get into Yale. You know, because everyone wants to go to Yale.
I would say that summer should just all year long, but I don't think I like summer enough to want to deal with twelve solid months of it. Maybe just no school? That would probably get boring pretty fast. Either that or my parents would put me to work full-time, which wouldn't be too great either.
You know what would be really awesome? To spend a year of school traveling around the world, hitting all of the important cities and learning different languages and meeting all kinds of different people. That would be a better experience than sitting in a cramped classroom seven hours a day, listening to boring teachers talk about equally boring things while wishing the day would go by faster. Yeah, we all do.
Oh well. Maybe next year I'll actually do something for summer break instead of just sitting around. What did you do and how're you looking forward to the upcoming school year?
